About Stephen M. Bennett
Steve has extensive experience in municipal law, employment and labor law, planning and zoning and school and special education law, having served as counsel for the City of Nashua for 17 years. He is also an experienced trial court litigator and appellate court counsel. Steve has successfully defended municipal employers against claims of wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment and wage and hour violations.

Steve has counseled municipal and school boards, committees and commissions on an array of legal questions, including issues on the right-to-know law, ethics conflicts and violations, collective bargaining and employee and student discipline. He has provided training for municipal employers and employees regarding sex discrimination and sexual harassment and assisted in the investigation of such claims. As the lead negotiator for public employers, he has negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements and successfully defended these employers at grievance arbitrations and unfair labor practice hearings.
